It doesn’t stop starting
Solo presentation, installation, Utrecht
My solo presentation at Moira in Utrecht – It doesn’t stop starting – was filled with relations towards the idea of presentation. By seeing the whole space as a work, objects itself could not survive without the ones that surround them. On a pedestal I placed photos that showed moments of the past or concepts for moments to come – trying to prolong the duration of the actual exhibition.
During the exhibition I changed the position of elements every weekend, closing or opening the blinds for the windows in the space, rolling a wall on wheels to another position and let a glossy football roam through the room. These interventions that play with the idea of visibility and invisibility, timeliness and changeability, are an important aspect within my work.
